The gantry crane is a heavy mechanical equipment, and its working conditions are very heavy. We must ensure that it can have sufficient strength, rigidity and stability under the complicated and variable load conditions. We must choose one that can carry the entire platform. Cranes and connected metal skeletons are so safe. The safe working life of a gantry crane mainly depends on its metal skeleton. As long as the metal skeleton is not damaged, it can be safely used. Other devices and parts will not affect its life span. Once its metal skeleton is destroyed, it will It will have serious consequences for gantry cranes.

Gantry crane metal structure

The metal structure of the gantry crane is divided into three categories based on different force characteristics. One is that the beam and truss are the main components to withstand the bending moment; the second is that the column is the main component to withstand the pressure; the third is the bending Components are mainly used for components that can withstand both pressure and bending moments. We can design the metal structure of the gantry crane into a structure, a solid belly, and a hybrid, depending on the manner of force and the size of the structure of these components. Below we mainly talk about solid abdominal components. The so-called solid abdominal member, which is mainly composed of steel plates, is mainly applied to a large load and a small external dimension. Its advantage is that it can use automatic welding, simple manufacture, high fatigue strength, small stress concentration, wide application range, convenient installation and inspection, etc., but at the same time it also has the disadvantages of large self-heavy and poor rigidity.

Composition of gantry crane operating mechanism

The operating mechanism refers to the mechanism for making the crane to move horizontally. It is mainly used to move the cargo horizontally. The orbital operating mechanism refers to a moving mechanism carried on a special track. Its characteristic is that the running resistance is small and the load is large. The disadvantage is that the range of movement is limited, and those trackless operating agencies can move on ordinary roads with a wider range of operations. The operating mechanism of the crane is mainly composed of a driving device, a running support device and a safety device. The drive includes the three parts of the prime mover and the transmission and the brake. The operation support consists of the track and the steel wheel set. The safety device includes the wind and anti-slip device, the travel limit switch, the buffer and the rail end stop. Such as the composition, these devices can effectively prevent the derailment of the trolley and prevent the crane from being blown off by the strong wind and causing tipping.

The working principle of gantry crane lifting mechanism

The electric motor of the crane is connected through a coupling and a speed reducer. The rotation of the low speed shaft of the speed reducer enables the reel and the hook to be combined with the wire rope to make it work. When the motor works, the rotation is transmitted in different forward and reverse directions to the reel, and then the reel winds or unwinds the wire rope so that the weight of the hook is raised or lowered. The basic principle is to convert the rotation of the motor. Become a heavy lifting movement. When the brake is suddenly cut off, the hanger will stop at the specified position. When it rises to the limit position, it will touch the limiter so that the hook stops moving.
